In this project, set by a publisher in my final year at university, I was tasked with picking a significiant event in China’s history and creating a cover for a book that compiled short stories imagining 100 years on from that event.
In this instance, I chose to focus on the Spratly Islands Dispute. This is one of the events in which China used cabbage tactics, a method of surrounding a contested island with many boats to cut off outside support and therefore seize control easily.
